Hi all, Yes… It has been eons since we last updated this site so here is the news and thank you to all those people who have been coming to the Newcastle show's (especially those of you who come and tell us to update the web page more!).
The Lads are all playing for various artists and Pana and Mark have been looking at new songs for release in 2011. We will be appearing in Newcastle again in Feb. Stay tuned.

We are looking forward to our Newcastle CD Launch coming up on Thursday, 6th August at the Wickham Park Hotel.
After our Basement gig in Sydney this week, the band is sounding great
and primed to put on another pumping show! Supporting the Low Flying Hippies on the night will be Daniel March,
another one of Newcastle's very talented singer/songwriters. The big
night kicks off at 8:30 and we know it will be a special night for us
in front of Pana's home crowd!.
The Adventure Before Dementia CD launch on Tuesday night at the Basement was fantastic! The Hippies
would like to thank all the people who came to support us on our big
night. It was great to look out from the stage and see a crowded room
on a cold Tuesday night in Sydney! Thanks also to the guest musicians
who made the night even more special for us. We felt lucky to share the
stage with you all!

We have had our final rehearsal with extras keys, vocal and a wonderful string section and the Hippies are ready for their big CD launch at the Basement in Sydney! The show starts at 8:30 with our good mate mcArtney opening. The Low Flying Hippies
will be on at 9:30 and we promise a great night out for all those who
decide to brave a late school-night!. We look forward to playing to you
then!

Low Flying Hippies played a gig with the band's new line-up last Friday night at the Stag
and Hunter hotel in Newcastle. Thanks to all those who came to support
us (and thanks for buying CDs). The crowd was treated to a great
opening set by guitar virtuoso Adam Miller (thanks mate, enjoying your
CD!) and we had a lot of fun playing to such an enthusiastic
audience!
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Newcastle CD Launch Gig has been brought forward by a day to Thursday 6th August. It's still at the Wickham Park Hotel. See you there for a great night!

The band's front-man Tim McArtney, is another talented
singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Pana's home town of
Newcastle. We're looking forward to sharing the stage with a great

We are pleased to announce that our debut album Adventure Before Dementia
has been
completed and duplicated and is now taking up valuable shelf space at
our various homes.
It has taken the better part of a year to produce the album, which
was worked on in no less than six different locations in and
around Sydney, Newcastle and even an idyllic country house we rented
near Dungog! We were also fortunate to have some great artists perform
on the album, including a string quartet of Sydney Symphony players.
Although the album has not yet been officially launched, it has already
received some radio airplay, including a feature spot on 2NUR with
presenter Michael Maher.
Stay tuned to 2NUR for a Low
Flying Hippies interview, which is
scheduled for 12th June. Those outside of the broadcast area
